Brackets

Brackets are updated during the event at https://gamesync.us/tournaments/brackets.  While we display this live information in the LAN center, you may wish to also bookmark this page on your mobile device to keep abreast of what’s happening in real time while you’re waiting for your turn.

Since you're not running tourneys right now, what do you suggest?
There are many League of Legends players who frequent GameSync during the week and on weekends.  You’re almost sure to meet fans of the game when you drop by.  Also check out our all-San Diego Saturday night meetup and get serious by joining one of our eSports teams. The information below is for when we resume tournaments:
I am a relatively new / casual player. Can I attend?
Yes! Our competitions are amateur level, so it’s a great way to just have fun playing with others, learn strategy or get into a more serious competition.
What if I don't have a full team?
If you are a free agent player or a duo looking for a team, go ahead and enter the event. We will organize a PUG (Pick Up Group) for you (there are always individuals looking to team up and its a great way to meet new players!)  Optionally, if you want to plan ahead, you can post your position and IGN (In Game Name) on our facebook page for the next upcoming event. This will allow other players to find you.
If I join a new team when I arrive, can I practice with them?
It depends on timing. As long as individuals arrive early, we will create your team as soon as we have five players.  You can then jump onto one of our stations before the event to practice.  Registration officially starts at 11:30am and kick-off is at 12:30pm. Once you meet players at GameSync, exchange contact info so you can practice with them at the 25% off discounted rate in the week leading up to the event!
How much game time will I get?
We offer double-elimination which means you’ll play at least two full games. We strongly suggest you take a moment to read our rules to briefly familiarize yourself with our guidelines, as well as our player procedures, so you can have extra time after you register to practice with your team if you wish.
How can I see who I am competing against?
We have bracket info available on our website so you can check standings on your smartphone and see who you are playing against. The information is also displayed on multiple large screens in the game rooms.
Are spectators welcome?
Yes! We only ask that you purchase an inexpensive drink or snack to help defray costs of running the event.
Do you stream on Twitch?
Not in San Diego or unable to attend our event?  We stream live with picture-in-picture in-game commentary by our professional streamcaster along with guest commentators at http://twitch.tv/gamesync  You’ll see analysis, interviews, and strategy discussion, and when you create an account at twitch.tv, ask us questions in the interactive chat window! Watch for prizes including raffle drawings from our sponsors!  While it’s certainly not nearly as fun as being there, our twitch.tv stream offers an alternative so you can stay connected with what’s happening during the event.
What about food?
Participants get free pizza (if you want a topping choice other than pepperoni, please let us know at check-in).  There are also a number of fast food restaurants on Miramar Road, a few minutes from us. We also have concessions available (see our pricing page for the full menu).
“I would like to thank GameSync Gaming for organizing this event. I had an absolute blast for my first tournament and gave me a great experience. ”
Michael Basilonia

“My Team and I went and participated and I have to let everyone know it is definitely worth the drive. The entire atmosphere of it wasnt like a business, it was like a group of gamers just having fun. My entire team felt really welcomed and had a blast playing. The entire set up added a nice level of hype, and made it really entertaining. A must for anyone who wants to get a step into the competitive scene for league of legends!”
Kevin William Croft

San Diego League of Legends Group

“I went to the last one, it was fun to watch and fun to play, even though my team did get second place. It had a pretty nice atmosphere to it overall, there was a wide age range there which I thought was pretty cool. Everyone was nice and helpful, it was great to take a break from the ragers on solo queue and hang out with some fellow San Diegans. The hosts were also pretty cool and chill, they gave a lot of information about the tournament beforehand.”
