Come join our monthly Rocket League series! Syncing Shots is held on the last Sunday of every month. Our tournaments are standard 3s, so grab two of your friends and register today (we can also put you on a team if you don’t have one). Check-in begins is at 10AM, start is at 11AM. Details

  • Infinite Shots and GameSync are proud to announce the debut of our monthly Rocket League tournament, Syncing Shots. Syncing Shots is a monthly 3v3 BYOC LAN tournament held at the GameSync Esports Center in sunny San Diego that puts you and two friends together in a heated competition to discover which team is the best in Southern California.

Registration

  • Registration is open to competitors across all platforms (PC, PS4, XBox One, Switch). All teams will require a full team of 3 to be eligible to compete, but you may register up to 4 players in case your team needs a substitute. If you are unable to put a full team of 3 together, we will pair you with others who attend the event that also have an incomplete team. While the tournament is free to compete in, there is a $5 venue entry fee. If you are unable to bring your own setup, there will be several computers and and an XBox One system available to rent and share with other participants for an additional $10, but we highly encourage you to bring your own equipment (system, monitor, controller, cables, etc.). You will not be allowed to register for the tournament if you are repeatedly caught breaking the rules

Rules

  • Tournaments will be set in a two-phase format.
  • The first phase will be set in a round robin format and be split into pools depending on the number of teams registered.
  • The second phase, or playoff phase, will be set in a single-elimination format and will consist of the top teams from each pool in the Round Robin Phase.
  • All games are to be played on US-West servers.
  • Matches are to be played on a standard arena (such as DFH Stadium) with default settings for Soccar.
  • In-game spectators, other than tournament staff, are not permitted.
  • Be sure to take a screenshot of the final scores in case there are any disputes. It is also highly encouraged to save all the game replays too.
  • If your match is being streamed, be sure to wait for instructions from tournament staff after checking in.

Single Elimination With 2-Game Setup

Avg. Time for Series + Setup:
BO3 – 25-30 minutes
BO5 – 35-40 minutes
BO7 – 45-50 minutes

4-5 Teams: Round Robin

  • Each team will face each of the other teams in a round robin format
  • Each series in the round robin phase will be a BO3
    (6-10 series total; aprrox. 1 hr. 30 min. – 2hrs. 30 min.)
  • All teams will advance to the playoffs and will be seeded based off the round robin results.
    • If there is a tie between the teams, the higher seed will be determined based off the series played between those two teams. If there’s a 3-way tie, the higher seed will be determined by the overall win-loss percentage.

-Playoffs

  • Playoffs will be played in a single-elimination format.
  • Only 1 series will be played at a time.
  • A quarter-final match will be played between the bottom 2 seeded teams if 5 teams are entered in the tournament. This match will be a BO5 series. (approx. 40 min.)
  • The semi-final matches will be BO5 series (2 series; approx. 1 hr. 20 min.)
  • The grand finals will be a BO7 series. (approx. 50 min.)

Total Time – 3 hours 30 minutes – 5 hours 30 minutes

6 Teams: Round Robin (2 pools)

  • The 6 teams will be broken up into 2 pools of 3.
  • Each team will play all the teams in their respective pool.
  • Each series in the round robin phase will be a 5-game series; all 5 games must be played.
    (6 series total; aprrox. 2 hrs.)
  • All teams will advance to the playoffs and will be seeded based off the round robin results.
    • If there is a tie between the teams, the higher seed will be determined based off the series played between those two teams. If there’s a 3-way tie, the higher seed will be determined by the overall win-loss percentage.

-Playoffs

  • Playoffs will be played in a single-elimination format.
  • Only 1 series will be played at a time.
  • The highest seeded team from each bracket will be awarded with a bye for the first round.
  • The quarter-final and semi-final matches will each be BO5 series. (2 hrs. 30 min.)
  • The grand finals will be a BO7 series. (approx. 50 min.)

Total Time – 5 hours 30 minutes

8-10 Teams: Round Robin (2 pools)

  • The 8-10 teams will be broken up into 2 pools of 4-5 teams.
  • Each team will play all the teams in their respective pool.
  • Each series in the round robin phase will be a BO3
    (12-20 series total; aprrox. 3 hrs. – 5 hrs.)
  • The top two teams in each pool (4 teams total) will advance to the playoffs and be seeded based off their ranking in their respective pool.
    • If there is a tie between the teams, the higher seed will be determined based off the series played between those two teams. If there’s a 3-way tie, the higher seed will be determined by the overall win-loss percentage. If there is still a tie remaining between teams, the team with the better goal differential will be awarded the higher seed.

-Playoffs

  • Playoffs will be played in a single-elimination format.
  • Only 1 series will be played at a time.
  • The semi-finals matches will be BO5 series. (1 hr. 20 min.)
  • The grand finals will be a BO7 series. (approx. 50 min.)

Total Time – 5 hours 15 minutes – 7 hours 15 minutes

12 Teams: Round Robin (3 pools)

  • The 12 teams will be broken up into 3 pools of 4 teams.
  • Each team will play all the teams in their respective pool.
  • Each series in the round robin phase will be a BO3
    (18 series total; aprrox. 4 hrs. 30 min.)
  • The top two teams in each pool (6 teams total) will advance to the playoffs and be seeded based off their ranking in their respective pool.
    • If there is a tie between the teams, the higher seed will be determined by the series played between those two teams. If there’s a 3-way tie or a tie exists between teams from different pools, the higher seed will be determined by the overall win-loss percentage. If there is still a tie remaining between teams, the team with the better goal differential will be awarded the higher seed.

-Playoffs

  • Playoffs will be played in a single-elimination format.
  • 2 series will be played at a time to keep the pace of the tournament from dragging.
  • The two highest seeded teams from the round robin stage will be awarded a bye.
  • The quarter-final and semi-final matches will be BO5 series.

(4 series; approx. 1 hr. 20 min.)

  • The grand finals will be a BO7 series. (approx. 50 min.)

Total Time – 6 hours 45 minutes

16 Teams: Round Robin (4 pools)

  • The 16 teams will be broken up into 4 pools of 4.
  • Each team will play all the teams in their respective pool.
  • Each series in the round robin phase will be a BO3
    (24 series total; aprrox. 6 hours)
  • The top two teams in each pool (8 teams total) will advance to the playoffs and be seeded based off their ranking in their respective pool.
    • If there is a tie between the teams, the higher seed will be determined by the series played between those two teams. If there’s a 3-way tie, the higher seed will be determined by the overall win-loss percentage.

-Playoffs

  • Playoffs will be played in a single-elimination format.
  • 2 series will be played at a time to keep the pace of the tournament from dragging.
  • The quarter final and semi-final matches will be BO5 series. (6 series; approx. 2 hrs.)
  • The grand finals will be a BO7 series. (approx. 50 minutes)

Total Time – 9 hours

Double Elimination With 2-Game Setup

  • All matches prior to the grand finals will be BO3 series, with only 1 game being played at a time. (5 series; approx. 2 hrs. 30 min.)
  • The grand finals will be a BO5 series. In order for the team from the loser’s bracket to win the grand finals, they will have to beat the team from the winner’s bracket in two BO5 series. (1-2 series, 40 min. – 1 hr. 15 min.)

Total Time – 3 hours 10 minutes – 3 hours 45 minutes

5 Teams:

  • Each team will be placed in a double elimination bracket, allowing each team to lose a series once with a second chance for victory in the loser’s bracket.
  • The teams will be seeded based on the team’s total MMR and/or previous tournament results.
    • Due to the odd number of teams, the two lowest seeded teams will play in an extra round (the winner’s quarterfinals) to see who will compete with the other 3 teams in the winner’s semifinals round.
  • All rounds in the winner’s bracket will be played out before the start of the loser’s bracket.
    • All 4 teams that have lost in winner’s bracket will start in the semi-finals of the loser’s bracket. The loser of the winner’s finals will play against the team that lost in the quarterfinals of the winner’s bracket.
  • All matches prior to the grand finals will be BO3 series. (7 series; approx. 2 hrs. 30 min.)
  • The grand finals will be a BO5 series. In order for the team from the loser’s bracket to win the grand finals, they will have to beat the team from the winner’s bracket in two BO5 series. (1-2 series, 40 min. – 1 hr. 15 min.)

Total Time – 3 hours 10 minutes – 3 hours 50 minutes

6 Teams:

  • Each team will be placed in a double elimination bracket, allowing each team to lose a series once with a second chance for victory in the loser’s bracket.
  • The teams will be seeded based on the team’s total MMR and/or previous tournament results.
    • Due to the odd number of teams, the two highest seeded teams will be given a bye through the quarterfinals of the winner’s bracket.
  • All rounds in the winner’s bracket will be played out before the start of the loser’s bracket.
  • All matches prior to the grand finals will be BO3 series. (9 series; approx. 3 hrs.)
  • The grand finals will be a BO5 series. In order for the team from the loser’s bracket to win the grand finals, they will have to beat the team from the winner’s bracket in two BO5 series. (1-2 series, 40 min. – 1 hr. 15 min.)

Total Time – 3 hours 40 minutes – 4 hours 15 minutes

8 Teams:

  • Each team will be placed in a double elimination bracket, allowing each team to lose a series once with a second chance for victory in the loser’s bracket.
  • The teams will be seeded based on the team’s total MMR and/or previous tournament results.
  • All rounds in the winner’s bracket will be played out before the start of the loser’s bracket. Each of these matches will be played as a BO3 series. (7 series; approx. 2 hrs.)
    • If desired, the winner’s bracket can be played out up to the conclusion of the winner’s semifinals, and then will resume after the conclusion of the loser’s bracket semifinals.
  • All rounds in the loser’s bracket will be played as a BO1 series, except the loser’s finals, which will be played out as a BO3 series. (6 series; approx. 1 hr.)
  • The grand finals will be a BO5 series. In order for the team from the loser’s bracket to win the grand finals, they will have to beat the team from the winner’s bracket in two BO5 series. (1-2 series, 40 min. – 1 hr. 15 min.)

Total Time – 3 hours 40 minutes – 4 hours 15 minutes

10 Teams:

  • Each team will be placed in a double elimination bracket, allowing each team to lose a series once with a second chance for victory in the loser’s bracket.
  • The teams will be seeded based on the team’s total MMR and/or previous tournament results.
    • Due to the odd number of teams, the 4 lowest seeded teams will be play an extra round in the winner’s bracket in order to see who will advance to the winner’s quarterfinal.                                                                                                 
  • All rounds in the winner’s bracket will be played out up to the conclusion of the winner’s semifinals, and then will resume after the conclusion of the loser’s semi-finals.
    • All matches in the winner’s bracket will be played as BO3 series.

(9 series; approx. 2 hrs. 30 min.)

  • All rounds in the loser’s bracket will be played as a BO1 series, except the loser’s finals, which will be played out as a BO3 series. (8 series; approx. 1 hr. 10 minutes)
    • The first round of the loser’s finals will include the first 8 teams to that lost a match in the winner’s bracket. The two teams that lost in the winner’s semi-final will be placed against the two teams that lost in the first round of the winner’s bracket.
  • The grand finals will be a BO5 series. In order for the team from the loser’s bracket to win the grand finals, they will have to beat the team from the winner’s bracket in two BO5 series. (1-2 series, 40 min. – 1 hr. 15 min.)

Total Time – 4 hours 20 minutes – 5 hours 15 minutes

12 Teams:

  • Each team will be placed in a double elimination bracket, allowing each team to lose a series once with a second chance for victory in the loser’s bracket.
  • The teams will be seeded based on the team’s total MMR and/or previous tournament results.
    • Due to the odd number of teams, the 4 highest seeded teams will be given a bye through the first round of the winner’s bracket.                                                                                                                                               
  • All rounds in the winner’s bracket will be played out up to the conclusion of the winner’s semifinals, and then will resume after the conclusion of the loser’s semi-finals.
    • All matches in the winner’s bracket will be played as BO3 series.

(11 series; approx. 3hrs.)

  • All rounds in the loser’s bracket will be played as a BO1 series, except the loser’s finals, which will be played out as a BO3 series. (10 series; approx. 1 hr. 20 minutes)
    • The first round of the loser’s finals will include the 8 teams that lost in the first two rounds of the winner’s bracket. The teams that lost in the second round of the winner’s bracket will be placed against a team that lost in the first round.
  • The grand finals will be a BO5 series. In order for the team from the loser’s bracket to win the grand finals, they will have to beat the team from the winner’s bracket in two BO5 series. (1-2 series, 40 min. – 1 hr. 15 min.)

Total Time – 5 hours – 5 hours 35 minutes

16 Teams:

  • Each team will be placed in a double elimination bracket, allowing each team to lose a series once with a second chance for victory in the loser’s bracket.
  • The teams will be seeded based on the team’s total MMR and/or previous tournament results.
  • All rounds in the winner’s bracket will be played out up to the conclusion of the winner’s semifinals, and then will resume after the conclusion of the loser’s semi-finals.
    • All matches in the winner’s bracket will be played as BO3 series.

(15 series; approx. 4 hrs.)

  • All rounds in the loser’s bracket will be played as a BO1 series, except the loser’s finals, which will be played out as a BO3 series. (14 series; approx. 1 hr. 40 minutes)
  • The grand finals will be a BO5 series. In order for the team from the loser’s bracket to win the grand finals, they will have to beat the team from the winner’s bracket in two BO5 series. (1-2 series, 40 min. – 1 hr. 15 min.)
